Mâcon authorises numerous building permits in the city centre

In the centre of Mâcon, property prices reach 3,000€ per square metre, and fall to 2,400€ as you move away from the centre. The town is located in zone B2 of the Pinel scheme, which means that it is not eligible for tax exemption.

There are no collective housing programmes currently being marketed in Mâcon. On the other hand, ten or so collective building permits, mainly in the town centre, have recently been authorised.

In the north of the city, the Mâcon Nord and Marbé districts are located in priority zones. In the south of the city, this is also the case for the Mâcon Sud and Saint Clément - Les Blanchettes districts. The VAT rate is reduced to 5.5%.

A cost of decontamination and archaeological excavations are to be expected in Mâcon

The only two underground cavities in Mâcon are located to the north-west of the town, near the Abîme stream around the road of the same name.

There are 200 polluted or potentially polluted sites in the city. The launch of a real estate project will require an upstream survey and probably a clean-up of the soil before construction.

The City Centre area and part of the Flacé area are located in a zone of presumed archaeology and will require consultation with the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC) before any construction project.
