The city of Antibes modifies its PLU every year

The Local Urban Plan (PLU) of Antibes was approved in 2011 and has undergone 9 modifications , the last of which was in 2019.

The ancient name of Antibes is "Antipolis", which it gave to an important business area located about ten kilometres away, now called Sophia Antipolis. The town is now a famous seaside resort where many holidaymakers come to stay during the summer months.

In the city centre, the construction of housing is prohibited except in the case of reconstruction. In the districts around the centre, in the UB zone, the building height varies between 16 metres (R+4) and 24 metres (R+7).

The mayor of Antibes, Mr Jean LEONETTI, is surrounded by Mr Patrick DULBECCO, deputy town planner

The town has many reserved sites between the A8 motorway, the D35 departmental road and the Avenue de Nice, as well as at Cap d'Antibes, notably around the Boulevard du Cap, which becomes the Boulevard Francis Meilland.

The municipality of Antibes has an urban right of pre-emption over almost all of its territory.

About 20 building permits have been granted recently.
