There is a large number of high-priced housing units built in Evian-les-Bains

There is only one underground cavity in the commune, located at the end of the Route du Bois du Feu.

The city's soils include some sixty polluted or potentially polluted sites, mainly spread along the coast between the railway station and the Evian-les-Bains Ferry Terminal. In order to build on these sites, a survey and probable soil decontamination are required.

Real estate projects on the shores of Lake Geneva and in the historic centre of Evian-les-Bains must be systematically consulted by the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC ). In the rest of the town, consultation of the DRAC will only be necessary if the property project exceeds 3,000m².
