Annecy: very active land prospecting in this new commune

Around forty underground cavities are nestled under the ground in the commune, with a concentration in the centre of Annecy, and require the cost of making the land safe before construction.
An additional construction cost is to be accounted for because almost the entire new commune of Annecy is based on clay soil, and presents a higher risk of clay shrinkage and swelling from the town centre to Annecy-le-Vieux Sud, around the Novel manor and in Meythet.
More than 800 polluted or potentially polluted sites are scattered throughout the new municipality of Annecy and require a study or even soil decontamination before construction.
