There are few real estate operations in Pontarlier

Around the centre of Pontarlier, property prices range from €3,300 per square metre. A few property developments are being marketed along the D74 road by the river Doubs and near the Rue du Commandant Ploton.

The town of Pontarlier is located in zone B2 of the Pinel scheme which does not allow for tax exemption. No building permits have been granted recently.

The Longs Traits priority district to the north of the town centre, where Pontarlier railway station is located, benefits from a reduced VAT rate of 5.5%.

The soil of Pontarlier should be studied before a real estate project

The only quarry in Pontarlier is located in the southwest of the town, near the Bief Rouget river.

Along the departmental road D47 in the vicinity of the Ruisseau des Lavaux, several areas are at risk of landslides. The seismic hazard is moderate.

200 sites are polluted or potentially polluted in the centre and west of the town. Before launching a real estate project, a survey or even a soil decontamination will be necessary before construction.

The whole of Pontarlier is located in an archaeological prescription zone. Depending on the sector concerned, building projects with a surface area of more than 500 m², 1000 m² or 2000 m² will have to be consulted by the Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles (DRAC).
