In the commune of Nantes, 118 hectares are available for construction with this new PLUM - corresponding to sites 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the map.
Great potential for construction in the rest of the metropolis
In the communes surrounding Nantes, the main land units open to housing construction are in Carquefou, Orvault, Saint-Herblain, Basse-Goulaine and Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire.
5. In Saint-Herblain, 9 hectares belonging to industrial companies are now open to the construction of housing up to 5 storeys high.
6. In Orvault, 8 hectares are available for the construction of housing of between 6 and 9 storeys.
7. In Basse-GoulaineIn addition, construction projects by developers are already underway on 9 hectares of natural areas.
8. In Bouaye, a private owner's 3 hectares of natural areas are open to construction.
9. In Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire, 24 hectares of wasteland and natural areas are now available for construction of ground floor + 1 floor houses.
10. In Carquefou, 24 hectares are available opposite the golf course, for plots owned by the developer Loire-Atlantique Développement and SCI du Golf. On these plots, an 11-hectare concerted development zone plans to build 750 homes by 2030, with a first phase to be delivered in 2021. To the north-east of Carquefou, the plots are suitable for intermediate housing.
