Guérande (44)

The Local Urban Plan of the commune of Guérande has been in force since 2017

The Local Town Planning Scheme of the municipality of Guérande is currently being modified, with a stop planned at the end of 2019.

Nicolas Criaud, mayor of Guérande, is surrounded by Marie-Annick Durand, deputy mayor for regional development, and Françoise Jounier, deputy mayor for housing.

Situated between the Brière regional park and the salt marshes, the town first developed within the ramparts on the Guérande peninsula, then extended outside the walls onto a residential ring. The historic town centre, inside the ramparts, is covered by the Plan de Sauvegarde et de Mise en Valeur. It is mainly surrounded by UB zones, which correspond to the recent urban extensions of the town, and UC zones, which correspond to the recent urban extensions of the town. These zones, intended mainly for housing, present opportunities for developers looking for land.

Some real estate projects are being developed in this historic city

3 building permits are authorised in the town centre of this Loire-Atlantique commune in 2018 for collective housing, equivalent to 68 new homes, and individual housing.

Containing half of the megalithic monuments that still exist in the Loire-Atlantique department, such as the Bissin menhir or the Pierre de Saillé, the town of Guérande is home to numerous remains, monuments from different periods and archaeological sites. Any real estate project in the protected Guérande peninsula will be subject to the opinion of the Architectes des Bâtiments de France.
