The last modification of the Local Urban Plan of the commune of Agde has been in force since 2018. The update of the PLU, currently under modification, is expected in the third quarter of 2019.

The commune has three distinct centres: the town of Agde, the Grau d'Agde and the Cap d'Agde. The architectural and urbanistic constraints determine the building potential of a property and are defined in the regulations of each zone of the commune around these three poles.
