The Local Urban Plan of the commune of Anglet has been in force since 2017

Jacques Veunec, deputy mayor of Anglet, Claude Olive, is in charge of urban planning and development.

The Local Urban Plan defines regulations that include architectural constraints designed for the commune, such as the setback, the landscapes to be preserved or theparking requirement, reduced to 1 space on either side of the avenues Jean Léon Laporte, de Bayonne and de Biarritz.

Anglet: a historic tourist town that attracts property developers

23 building permits were authorised in this commune of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in 2018 for collective and individual housing. They are mainly located in the town centre and on either side of the avenues of Bayonne and Biarritz.

The land near the eleven beaches of Anglet, including the Chambre d'Amour beach, which has been famous since the Second Empire, as well as the perimeter around the Sainte-Marie church, are protected and any real estate project in these areas must be submitted to the Architectes des Bâtiments de France for their opinion.
