The city of Amiens modifies its PLU very frequently

Amiens adopted a Local Urban Plan (PLU) in 2006. It has already undergone 20 modifications, the latest in 2019.

Thehistoric capital of Picardy, it is the second largest city in the region after Lille. Ideally situated within the Paris - London - Brussels triangle, it is also the leading French city in terms of the number of UNESCO heritage sites.

The maximum height allowed is 30.5 metres, i.e. R+7, all around the city centre, where the authorised floor area is 80%.

Almost the whole city is under urban pre-emption, the only parts of the territory that are not are natural or agricultural areas.

Around the Amiens Picardie Jules Vernes University, there are several reserved spaces. This is also the case around the railway tracks coming from Amiens Station, around the Amiens Nord Atrium town hall and around Saint-Pierre Park.

The city has authorised 64 building permits , mainly in the centre and west of Amiens. They mainly concern the construction of collective housing.
