From the Agen canal bridge over the Garonne to the former Royal Canvas Factory, now the Valence barracks, and the Jean Jaurès and Les Pins districts, the area is protected and any real estate project undertaken on these sites must be submitted for approval to the Architectes des Bâtiments de France.
